Ballet San Jose dancer, Le Mai Linh, retires after 15 years with the Company
Le Mai Linh, known to his friends as "Elton", will retire from Ballet San Jose at the end of this season after dancing with the Company since 1993. Linh has been a company favorite for years. He will be featured in DARK ELEGIES, one of 3 Company Premieres on the program titled, SONG & DANCE.
Le Mai Linh, from Ho Chi Minh City, Vietnam, joined Ballet San Jose in 1993. He came to Ballet San Jose from Hong Kong Academy for Performing Arts, under the direction of former Cleveland Ballet dancer Maggie Carlson. He also studied at the Vietnam School of Dance and Hong Kong Ballet. Some of his company credits include Prince Alexis in The Nutcracker, Carmen, Red Shoes, Eclipses, Quicksilver and Romeo and Juliet. Other credits include Cinderella, A Midsummer Night's Dream, Don Quixote and Swan Lake. As a guest artist, he has performed with the Hong Kong Ballet, and Oakland Ballet as Albrech in Giselle.
