Starting amateur dance company looking for intermediate to pre-professional/professional level dancers, choreographers, and musicians of all genres (classical ballet, contemporary, jazz, modern, west african, latin, etc) who can commit to 1x/week rehearsals, 1x/month whole group meet ups for practice run throughs, and 3-4 performances per year. Scheduling will be flexible. The goal for this group is to create an organized space where dancers and choreographers can create and practice pieces, and then perform them at a variety of venues in the Bay Area as a dance troupe.

The Palo Alto Children's Theater is seeking a dance teacher/artist to teach children's dance classes during the school day in elementary schools in the Palo Alto School District. Must be responsible, timely, creative. Should be able to demonstrate past experience as a children's dance teacher/resident artist. Must be willing to be fingerprinted/cleared to work with children. Smuin Ballet offers 35-40 week competitive dancer contracts, presenting approximately 70 performances per season.
A staple of the San Francisco dance community for 25 years, Smuin pushes the boundaries of contemporary ballet within a distinctly American style, combining classical ballet training, technique, and artistry with uncommon physicality and expression. Recent repertoire includes works by: Michael Smuin (founder), Amy Seiwert, Jirí Kylián, Trey McIntyre, Annabelle Lopez Ochoa, Helen Pickett, Val Caniparoli, Ma Cong, Garrett Ammon, Adam Hougland, Darrell Grand Moultrie and others.
Join the Dancers Group team as a part-time or full-time staff-person to support the vision and mission of Dancers Group. The Community Resource Manager reports to the Executive and Program Directors, and works closely with staff and the Board of Directors. This new position offers an excellent opportunity for someone with three or more years of experience working for an arts organization and is interested in contributing their skills as they grow and learn with our creative and dynamic staff. Dancers Group has a collaborative work culture in planning and implementing public programs such as Bay Area Dance Week, the Rotunda Dance Series, and ONSITE. The Community Resource Manager will also support Dancers Groups Fiscal Sponsorship program and resource-sharing to the dance ecosystem.
Experience in platforms we use daily: Wordpress,
Filemaker, Word, Excel, InDesign, and Google Drive
Bookkeeping or other financial experience
